- Responsible for the general program coordination of payroll, employee retirement, health and welfare programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to compliance, administration and general coordination of payroll, retirement, dental, vision, flexible spending, disability, life and employee assistance programs.
- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday plus overtime as required.
- Union and Non-Union environment.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED
BS/BA in accounting/business administration/Human Resources is a plus
MINIMUM LICENSE: Valid MO Driver’s License
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of full cycle payroll processing and Three (3) years of benefit administration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as payroll/benefits clerk.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a high level of adaptability in response to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving business needs.
- Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations.
- Capable of developing and maintaining office records and reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly and concisely.
- Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including self-funded benefits, fully insured products and retirement plans.
- Process data entries for benefit plan remittances, reports, and other communications to outside carriers.
- Work with all plan vendors to resolve administration and employee questions.
- Assist with coordination of any benefit related court orders such as medical support orders and child support.
- Track attendance within all systems.
- Administration regarding FMLA.
- Assist with internal audits for payroll benefits.
- Maintain accurate and complete files on each employee within Employee Navigator, NISC systems, and carrier websites.
- Apply functional knowledge of current ERISA, IRS, DOL, COBRA and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with retirement and welfare plans.
- Prepare W2 reporting.
- Invoice administration for all carriers within the payroll and benefits programs along with completing 941 Tax Filings.
- Verify that the 1095’s are correct and sent out annually.
- Complete Workers Compensation monthly reports and Quarterly Unemployment Reporting.
- Assist with setup of Biometrics annually.
- Other tasks as directed and/or assigned.
