June 2026

June 5, 12, 19 & 26 — Downtown Summer Concert Series | Legion Park

The Downtown Summer Concert Series returns to Legion Park with live music, food vendors, and family-friendly fun in the heart of downtown Sikeston. Residents and visitors alike gather throughout the summer to enjoy evenings filled with music and community fellowship.

Every Saturday (May–October) — Downtown Farmers Market | Legion Park

The Downtown Farmers Market continues throughout the summer season with fresh produce, baked goods, handmade items, local vendors, and more each Saturday morning.


July 2026

July 4 — Sikeston Fireworks Display | Sikeston Recreation Complex

Celebrate Independence Day with one of Sikeston’s favorite summer traditions. Families from across the region gather at the Recreation Complex each year for fireworks and patriotic festivities.

July 4 — Oran 4th of July Picnic

Just outside Sikeston, the Oran 4th of July Picnic continues a longtime regional tradition featuring food, entertainment, games, and family activities.

July 9–12 — Scott County Balloon & Summer Fest | Benton Speedway

The Scott County Balloon & Summer Fest brings four days of family entertainment, hot air balloons, vendors, carnival rides, and more to the Benton Speedway. 

July 10, 17, 24 & 31 — Downtown Summer Concert Series | Legion Park

Live music continues throughout July as the Downtown Summer Concert Series brings another month of entertainment and community fun to downtown Sikeston.

July 18 — Junior Miss & Miss Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Pageants

These annual pageants help officially kick off rodeo season and remain a longtime tradition leading into rodeo week in Sikeston.

July 19 — Little Mr. & Miss Western Pageant

Families from across the area gather for this western-themed pageant event as excitement builds for the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo.


August 2026

August 1 — Rodeo Parade, Cowboy Shuffle 5K, Kid’s Mutton Busting & Cowboy Up! Festival | Downtown Sikeston

Rodeo week officially kicks off with a full day of activities in downtown Sikeston, including the annual rodeo parade, Cowboy Shuffle 5K, Kid’s Mutton Busting, shopping, food vendors, and western-themed family fun during the Cowboy Up! Festival.

August 3–8 — Rodeo Week at the Museum | Sikeston Rodeo Museum

Celebrate Sikeston’s rodeo history and western heritage with special exhibits and events throughout the week at the Sikeston Rodeo Museum.

August 5–8 — 74th Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo | Sikeston Jaycee Rodeo Grounds

The Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo returns for another year of PRCA rodeo action, live entertainment, and community tradition. Recognized nationally as one of the top rodeos in the country, rodeo week brings thousands of visitors to Sikeston every summer for rodeo competitions, concerts, food vendors, and family-friendly events.

From outdoor concerts and fireworks to balloon festivals and rodeo traditions, Summer 2026 is shaping up to be another memorable season in Southeast Missouri.
