In recognition of September as Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month, please join Bootheel Counseling Services on September 30th as we virtually walk together in honor and support for those lost to suicide, those who have lost a loved one to suicide, and those battling depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation.
There are several ways that a business, organization or individual can join our agency in support of creating awareness, learning the warning signs and supporting the cause with a goal of having zero suicides in our communities.
- Follow the Bootheel Counseling Services Facebook page for education and information about how you can help stop suicide
- Show support by gathering your family, friends, coworkers or you as an individual with the attached sign, or make a poster and post a photo to social media using #BCSZeroSuicide
- Go on a walk in honor or in memory of loved ones around your own neighborhoods, public parks or tracks. (Remember to use social distancing)
- Paint a rock and place it at the Rock Garden at any BCS location (Sikeston, Bloomfield, Charleston) or at Family Resource Center in New Madrid, in memory or in honor of your loved one or to share a positive message of hope to others.
